How to see a channel's exact subscriber count

  1. Type the channel name, its @handle (shown under the channel banner on YouTube) or paste the channel link.
  2. Press Show count. The exact number appears with total views, the number of videos and the average views per video.
  3. Keep the page open: the counter refreshes every minute from YouTube's official API, so you can watch a milestone happen live.

Why YouTube shows a rounded number

Since 2019 YouTube shows subscriber counts abbreviated - 1.2M, 340K - on channel pages and in Studio for everyone but the owner. The exact figure is still available through YouTube's public Data API, which is what this page reads. Some channels hide their count entirely; then YouTube returns nothing, and so do we.

The number is the same one YouTube itself has at that moment. It can move up and down by a few subscribers between refreshes as spam accounts are removed.

Frequently asked questions

Is the count real-time?

It is read from YouTube's official API and refreshed every 60 seconds. YouTube itself updates the figure a few times per day for most channels, more often for the biggest ones.

Why does it differ from the channel page?

The channel page rounds: 1 234 567 becomes 1.2M. This page shows the exact number.

Can I see a channel that hides subscribers?

No. If the owner hid the count, YouTube does not expose it anywhere, including the API.

Can I compare two channels?

Open this page twice, once per channel, side by side. A two-channel view is on the list.
